I'm thwarted. Despite recent noises from me about healthy knitting - I've succumbed. Dammit. I've had nerve pains in my left arm since my spectacular bike fall but, last night, I started getting throbbing pains in my wrist...
It is, I fear, the beginnings of that old knitting chestnut - RSI. And it's making typing tricky. Pretty irritating that I'm left-handed too - if I can't write, then I'm scuppered at work...people usually like editors that can write!
I am gently lying down the WIPs and stepping away swiftly. I might pick up the projects that are on larger needles over the weekend - but only if I don't get any discomfort. (This will be difficult for an impatient person...)
Has anyone got any unusual tips on how to deal with this, other than the obvious?
Incidently, how can I avoid the lovely Knitting Callous?? My left index finger is starting to feel strangely disconnected from me as it toughens up...I brought these finger protectors from the Stitch Shop but they're shiny and the needle keeps slipping. Oh dear, why am I such a physical puzzle?
