A book made from crisp bank notes?

All I want is the 'Vogue Knitting: Socks' book. I've got 'Socks Two' but I'm not really ready to knit penguin slipper socks yet: I just want to simplest of simple socks (until I can knit them to equal length I really shouldn't try anything fancy!).

You would not believe how tricky it is to get this title. Librarys West got me a bit excited as they seemed to have a few of the 'Vogue Knitting' titles but went through all the hoops for the 'Baby Knits' title and was told there was 'no copies in all branches'. You think they might remove it from the catalogue list then?

And then good ole trusty Amazon gave me this page (right). £99.44 for a copy that has 'wear and markings'?? Grrrr. And, I can't get over that they say that it looks like an 'interesting title'. Well, yes, I'm sure it is. Now if they could just make it less like the price of a mini-break somewhere hot, that'd be just lovely...
